William Albert Haggerty

William Albert Haggerty, age 72, passed away on the afternoon of Sunday, June 7, 2020.  He is predeceased by his parents, Jerome and Beverly (Moore) Haggerty; brother, Robert Haggerty; son, Jerome Haggerty; and grandson, Aaron Haggerty.  He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Linda Gail Haggerty; children, Kelly Norman (Sam) of Douglasville, GA, Julie Pletz (Stephen) of Freeport, FL, Robert Dillman (Stephanie) of Suffolk, VA, Patrick Haggerty (Mandi) of Remlap, AL, Kimberly Davis (Carlos) of Dallas, TX, Cynthia Haggerty of Dallas, TX, Angie Tidwell (Scott) of Dallas, TX; sister, Cindy Hatfield of OH; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.  He was a loving family man who loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, 2020 from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m., followed immediately by a Funeral Mass at 1 p.m., both in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Fr. Raymond A. Dunmyer officiating.

Mr. Haggerty will be laid to rest in the Alabama National Cemetery on Monday, June 15, 2020 at 11:45 a.m.  Charter Funeral Home entrusted.
