Brett Michael Whitley

Brett Michael Whitley, age 28, of Maylene passed away
August 9, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be held August 15, 2026, from 10:00 – 12:00, at Charter Funeral Home. Followed by a grave side service at the Montevallo City Cemetery.
Brett is survived by three beautiful daughters Piper Whitley, Karmyn Whitley, and Maple JoLee Whitley; father, Greg Whitley (Ramona); sisters, Brooklyn Whitley, Abby Wilson and JJ (nephew); grandparents, Ronny and Dottie Whitley, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Misty Edmonds Whitley; grandparents, Mike and Joyce Edmonds.
Brett had a smile that would light up any room and a twinkle in his big brown eyes that you couldn’t say no to.
Brett was an employee of Brookside Restoration. He was resilient, hardworking, kind, and always found a way to make us laugh, even on the toughest days. He faced hard times in his life, yet he continued to persevere, overcome, and build a beautiful life for himself. His strength and resilience were an inspiration to everyone around him.

Ronny, Dottie, and all of Brett’s complete family and friends I was so sorry to hear of this accident. It is my prayer God will comfort you all in a way that only he can. May God be with each of you. I am sending prayers and love. May God Bless and keep you all.
