Brandy Ann McKnight

Brandy Ann McKnight finished her journey on this earth  on Sunday, September 27, 2026. She was born on July 28, 1979, in Birmingham, AL. She lived all her life in Shelby County.

Brandy is preceded by in death by her father Robert “Big Oscar” Eugene Pope; grandparents, Mildred and Morris Sr. Carroll, Gloria and Wesley Pope; aunt, Susan Pope; and beloved cousins, Michele Vines and Billy Jack Gay.

She is survived by her mother, Joyce Falkner; son, Allen Hayes, Jr.; husband, Chris McKnight; brother, Oscar Pope; special aunts and uncles, Ann Jinks, Marsha Hamlett, Sharon Pope-Tran, Morris Carroll, Jr.; and several cousins and many friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, October 17, 2026 at Charter Funeral Home. A gathering will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for a time of fellowship and sharing memories.
