It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Randy Joe McKinney, a beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. Born on May 13, 1982, in Alabama, Randy was a beacon of warmth and joy to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He left this world on August 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family and the beauty of the life he cherished.

Randy was the cherished son of Joe McKinney and the late Sandra Kay McKinney, who predeceased him alongside his grandparents. He grew up with a deep appreciation for family, a value he carried throughout his life. Randy is survived by his two wonderful children, Chloe McKinney Porter and John Parker McKinney, who were the light of his life. His legacy lives on through his two granddaughters, Mallie Grace Porter and Paisley Ann McKinney, who brought him immense joy and pride.

Randy found fulfillment and purpose in his work as prepping land for families to enjoy for years to come at their hunting camps. His dedication and skill were evident in every project he undertook. Beyond his professional life, Randy was a true renaissance man—a dedicated hunter, passionate fisherman, talented welder, and adept mechanic. He was a man of all trades, always eager to lend a hand or offer his expertise to those in need.

Randy’s greatest passion was the outdoors. An avid hunter and fisherman. Whether he was in the woods or on the water with family and friends, Randy was happiest outdoors, where he built lasting memories and inspired others with his love for nature.

Randy leaves behind his devoted father, Joe McKinney, and his brother, Cody McKinney, with whom he shared countless memories of their hunting trips and adventures. Their bond was one of mutual respect and love, and Randy’s absence will be deeply felt by all his family members.

Randy will be cremated and the family is currently making preparations for a celebration of his life, and details will be shared with family and friends at a later date. As we gather to remember him, let us cherish the laughter, wisdom, and love he brought into our lives.
