Peggy Ann Wynne

Peggy Ann Wynne, 83, passed away on August 10, 2026. A true fighter throughout her life, Peggy faced many health challenges in her later years with resilience. While facing those challenges, she found comfort in her family and hobbies. She was a passionate Alabama football fan who cherished nothing more than having a house full of family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nathan H. Wynne; her parents, William and Doris Knipp; her sister, Carol Knipp; and her brother, Johnny Knipp (Rosette).

Peggy is survived by her loving siblings, Vicky Anderson (Gene), Judy Strickland (Don), and Charlie Knipp (Ann). She leaves behind a devoted family, including her children: Jeffrey Wynne (Karen), Leah Blackwood, Cheryl Miller (Tripp), and William Wynne (Shay). She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Garrett Wynne (Tessa), Joshua Blackwood (Cheyenne), Ann Kathryn Miller, Bill Miller, Jacob Blackwood (Destiny), Mitchell Blackwood, Hannah Mayhan, and Griffin Mayhan, as well as many other grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held at the family home on August 29th at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Peggy’s memory to Evangel Church, PCA, 423 Thompson Rd, Alabaster, AL 35007. Please direct donations to the attention of Alex Goodsell and include “Peggy Wynne” in the memo line.
