For a significant period of time in my young life, I was an “adopted Fowler”. From making Blimpie sandwiches to playing Atari for hours on end…and from trying to sell shoes at the Galleria to spending all night at a gym lock-in with Stephen to raise money for Type 1 diabetes. I’ve missed him over the years, and my heart is comforted knowing his place in heaven is being fulfilled. I just want his wife and kids to know his impact during his youth. Special times with a special friend will be treasured, and his influence will carry on forever in my heart.

I worked for Stephen in my teenage years. I hate to hear this. I’m so sorry. He was always so nice to me.

Stephen was our classmate, motivator and jokester extraordinaire. Our class came together less than a year ago, beginning our journey with Progressive. There was never a day in which Stephen didn’t have something uplifting to say or to share stories of his adventures and travels. He bragged on his family and the accomplishments of his children… we could hear the pride, even if we didn’t see his face. He took the time to actually LISTEN to his classmates, and there were times in which we would get an extra special boost from Stephen when he could sense that we may have been in desperate need of it. He shared his ideas and thoughts, especially when he found something that he thought would benefit his new-found friends. I am an artist — and I have saved emails of encouragement and ideas from him about how to let the world see my art. Stephen was so very special. It was a blessing and honor to get to know him and call him friend. Our 05/15 Class will never be the same without his booming voice, humor, kindness and stories. I am going to miss him so much. Prayers for his family and friends for comfort and peace in this time of loss.

I worked with Stephen for a few months in training and this was by far the best experience because of the training team we had and just having Stephen in the class. Those who’ve experienced even just a little time with this man knows what I mean that he was a great man and he’s earned my respects. He’ll be missed, his stories, advice and humor were top tier. Prayers to his family and loved ones.
