Sarah Tapscott Justus

Sarah Tapscott Justus, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. She was born in 1939 and lived a life that spanned an extraordinary era of change, from the years before television and space travel through the rise of computers, the internet, and the modern world we know today. She also studied at the L’Oréal beautician school of hair color in Paris, where she received her certification, and spent her life making others beautiful before finally retiring at age 73.

She loved to bowl and worked at Parkway Lanes in Huntsville for 17 years while doing her work as a hairdresser during the day. She loved her mother deeply, and her remains will be placed with those of her mom in Somerville, Alabama.
