Richard Leon Curry

Richard Leon Curry, age 50, passed away suddenly Thursday, April 8, 2021. He had many work passions but above all he was a trucker for Casey’s trucking. He loved to watch races, any type. Richard is preceded in death by his Father Leon Curry; brother-in-law, Gary McDonald; and sister in law, Teresa Curry. He is survived by the love of his life and mother to his children, April Lodge; sons Richard Zachary Lodge (Savannah) and Hunter Keith Lodge (Lauren); mother, Elizabeth Ann Curry; brothers, Donnie Curry, Ronnie Curry and Steven Curry; sister, Betty Curry McDonald; nieces and nephews, Justin Curry, Sherri McDonald, Jacob Curry, Courtney Curry and Sara Curry; and his fur baby Otis. Services will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 in the Charter Funeral Home Chapel.  A visitation will be at 11 am followed by a service at 12 pm. He will be laid to rest in Shelby Memory Gardens.

    He will be missed very much by all who knew him .. R ever came in close contact with him .. He was a great guy always smiling and laughing .. until we meet again

    Papi you were a great man to everyone you came across. My thoughts and prayers are with Zack and Hunter as well as the rest of the family. Rest in Heaven papi.

    I worked with Richard at Casey Trucking with Richard until he unexpectedly died at the work site. We will miss you at work man and hope your getting all the hauls you want in heaven. Will miss seeing you in the morning when we warm the trucks up.

    Things are still rolling here at Casey’s man. Though we are one truck short we miss you starting up the trucks getting for the dirt work
