Reba Pauline Thompson Pridmore

Reba Pauline Thompson Pridmore was born on May 12, 1963 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late James Robert and Joyce Joanne Thompson.  She passed peacefully from this life on October 30, 2016 in Alabaster, Alabama in the company of her loved ones.  She was welcomed home by those who passed before her, Her Loving Parents, James Robert and Joyce Joanne Thompson, Her eldest sister, Terry Ann Jakiel, Older brother, Robert “Bo” Thompson, and niece Brandy Joanne Meads. She was a devoted Christian from an early age and was baptized at the Cathedral Church of the Advent in Birmingham, Alabama. On February 1, 1980, she united in Holy Matrimony to Dennis Lynn Pridmore.  They stayed lovingly at each other’s side for 36 years until the day she passed.  To this union one child was born, Rebecca Lynn Smith. Her favorite things of this life were, reading in her Bible, playing with her grandson, quiet afternoons with her family, Alabama football, rocking in the sunshine on the front porch and a good homecooked meal. She leaves to cherish her sweet memories: Husband, Dennis Lynn Pridmore, Daughter Rebecca Lynn Smith, Son-in-Law, Jimmy Jo Smith, Grandson, Uriah James Smith, all of Shelby, Alabama, Sister, Dora Marie (Chuck) Hayes of Childersburg, Lifelong Friend, Barbara Ann (Bob) Cosper of Shelby, Alabama and a host of loving friends and relatives.  The family will receive friends, 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Charter Funeral with a Funeral Service to follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.  A Committal Service will be held in Bay Springs, Shelby, Al.
