Judy Daussman
Judy Daussman, age 75, passed away on August 20, 2026, of heart failure in Birmingham, Alabama.
Judy grew up in Huntsville, Alabama, and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Music at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. One of her hobbies was playing piano for her own personal enjoyment. She was a very talented musician and had been offered a scholarship to attend Juilliard but turned it down.
Other hobbies and interests included sewing, needlework, and puzzles. She had a great passion for animals, especially cats. She worked as a very meticulous bookkeeper for nearly 50 years.
Judy is survived by Steve Norris, her life partner of 53 years. Survivors also include 2 sisters, 2 nieces, 1 nephew, her cat and goofy dog.
No services are planned. A Celebration of Life will be held in the future. Her ashes will be placed in Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville in a private ceremony.
In lieu of flowers the family request a donation to the animal rescue organization of your choice.
Dear Steve, I know your heart is broken. What an amazing run you guys had together, not many people can say they had a love that lasted over 50 years. My deepest condolences to you and her family. May she rest in eternal peace.

Thinking of Judy brings a smile to my face. One of my fondest memories was of her laughing. It took a lot to get her to giggle but when she did all around her lit up. Steve you did a great job helping her to see the lighter side of life. Your total & complete love shone in all you two did.
