I am so sad to hear of the loss of our friend and fellow Shelby County Master Gardener, Phyllis Love. Phyllis was also a volunteer at Aldridge Gardens and helped with the Plant Sale every year. I’ll miss her ready smile and gentle nature. Rest in Peace.

My heart broke upon hearing of Phyllis’ passing. I saw her just a few weeks ago and enjoyed a conversation about family and our shared love of gardening. I will miss her so much at our common meeting places…Shelby County Master Gardeners meetings, The Alabama Hydrangea Society, and Aldridge Gardens. Phyllis was was so sweet to ask about me as I was going through treatment for cancer. She had a humble and sweet spirit. My deepest condolences to the family.
