Larry Donald McGuffie, age 63, passed away Friday, November 22, 2019 in Alabaster, Al. He is survived by his daughter Leighanne McGuffie Carey (James); sons, Tyler Lee McGuffie and Seth Delane McGuffie (Ashton); sisters, Judy Smith, Frances Crumley, Pat Wood (Charles), Mickey Miller (Don), Lynda Page (Frank), Bonnie Roy (Dan), Lisa Damaggio (Galin); brother, Robert McGuffie (Kathy); and 5 Grandchildren. Larry is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Eva McGuffie. His services will be at the Charter Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday, November 26, 2019. Visitation will be from 12 pm to 1pm, immediately followed by a service at 1pm. Larry will be interned in Indian Springs Baptist Cemetery.

    My sweet brother, you were always the one who gave me (your baby sister) a hard time. You were always trying to scare me, or arguing with me over NOTHING, and you did that right up to the end. I love you so much and I’m so sorry that life wasn’t so kind to you, but I am happy to know that you are now smiling and rejoicing with Jesus. Enjoy your celebration of life in Heaven. I will miss you terribly, but you will always be in my thoughts and in my heart! <3 <3 <3

    so sorry to hear about Larry, Prayers with the family at this time. Bless his heart he fought a good fight. no longer in any pain and I know you all will miss him
