Randolph- Julie Annette Henderson Smitherman, age 80, of Randolph, Ala. was born December 26, 1938 and passed away April, 19, 2019 in Alabaster.  Her services will be Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 11:00 am at Shady Grove Baptist Church. The visitation will start at 9:00 am at the church.  Officiating will be Rev. Evie Megginson, and Charter Funeral Home & Crematory will be directing. Burial will follow the service in Shady Grove Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sanford Stanley Smitherman; mother, Elsie F. Henderson; father, William E. Henderson; sisters, Roberta Henderson Mays and Essie F. Henderson Davis; brother, Henry Ellis Henderson; son-in-law, Morris J. Atchison.

She is survived by her children, Julia S. Atchison, Nicky S. Smitherman (Mary), and Michelle Keller (Ken); grandchildren, Marcia Atchison, April Hobson (Kevin), Johnathan Smitherman, Laura Martin (Robert), and Morgan Mayfield (Taylor); great-grandchildren, J.W. Smitherman (Savannah), Jacob Smitherman, Nathan Smitherman, Michael Martin, Addie Martin, Hunter Kelley, and Theodore Edwards; great-great-grandchild, Adalynn Rose Smitherman is to be born in May 2019; brother, John Henderson (Jewel); sister, Magdalene Henderson Milstead.
