It was my wife and my pleasure to sing with Joel in the National Christian Choir. He is singing in a bigger heavenly choir right now. In the presence of the Lord that he loves with all his heart. Our prayers go out to his family. God Bless and keep you all in his hands. Will see you when God is done with me , my friend.

Joel and I became friends while he was living in the Washington, DC area. He joined me for Thanksgiving and several birthday parties. His joy and warmth and sense of humour were felt by all who knew him. I remember fondly how Joel stopped by to check on me after my beloved 102-year old grandmother died. He didn’t know I had already flown to Wisconsin to be with my family, but he stopped by anyway and left me a handwritten note. I still have that note and cherish it.

I only knew Joel for a short time after he moved to Spring Hill, Tennessee. It was such a pleasure to stop in and talk to him at Port Royal Storage. We shared many laughs together. He will be sadly missed.

    Joel
Was a dear friend for at least 30 years. We knew each other from the Wash DC area. His Mom and my Mom were good friends. When I got Cancer and couldn’t drive he would come and pick me up for Church.
    I miss him so much.

What sad news. Joel and I met while I worked for the Force Master Chief, 1991 to 1994. During this time Joel and I did many wonderful and amazing things together. After I retired we still kept in touch and I even traveled to Settle Washington to see him and hear him sing. Every year we sent Christmas cards and spoke on the phone. I can not believe I did not know about his passing, his kind spirit will live on in my memories.
