One of my closest friends.
It sounds like Richard touched many lives in the best possible way. I’m grateful and sincerely honored to have met him.
From a friend of a long time ago, I am sorry to hear of this. Richard and I shared many after school walks from OJHS. My condolences to the entire family.

There will never be another man like Richard. So smart, kind, compassionate, and full of knowledge about everything. And I do mean everything. From the intricacies of the law to the common sense knowledge of everyday life, you could count on him for everything. It is hard to fathom navigating this world without having him to go to for guidance. I worked with him for 21+ years. He taught me so much and I wish there was time to learn more. His love for his family, his coworkers, and his friends are his greatest testimony. And those that were fortunate enough to know him cannot imagine navigating this world without him. Rest in Heaven, friend. We are greater for having known you!
