Stephen Victor Ashe

Stephen Victor Ashe, 73, of Cullman, Alabama, passed away Friday, July 10, 2026. Born in Baytown, Texas, Steve was a veteran of the US Navy who served during the Vietnam War. Steve began his career in radio promotions for several Birmingham-area stations, including WZZK-FM, before transitioning to a career in auto parts sales. Over the years he worked for several dealerships in Birmingham including Ernest McCarty Ford, Long-Lewis Ford, and Adamson Ford. For the past few years, he worked at Overnight Parts Alliance. Steve loved getting on the water and found a passion for cruising and international travel in his later years.
Steve was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Vickie Ann Ashe; father, Frank N. Ashe; mother, Helena McMillen; brothers, Frank N. Ashe, Jr. and Michael Ashe; and sister, Kimberley Anne Oliver. He is survived by his loving wife of 9 years, Angela Ashe; daughter, Brandie Ashe; sons, Nicholas Ashe and John Ashe; stepdaughter, Heather (Jake); stepson, Heath (Kaytlynn); and beloved step-grandchildren, Lane, Jada, Ryland, and Tillman; and sister, Joan McMillen Willard.
Services will be held Wednesday, July 22,, 2026 at Charter Funeral Home in Calera. A Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. followed by a service beginning at 12 noon. Steve will be laid to rest with Military Honors in the Alabama National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request donations be made to the American Heart Association.
