Page Haymore Henderson

Page Haymore Henderson, Lt. Col. USAF Retired.  Was born October 9, 1931 in Campbell County, VA. Went to be with Jesus Tuesday, August 30, 2016.   He was the son of the late Aubrey Page and Betty Jean Henderson.  Page was a graduate of Hampden Sydney College and received a Master’s Degree from Auburn University in Alabama.  Page had an Air Force Career as a pilot having served in Germany, France, Japan, Hawaii and Vietnam as well as state side.  He was predeceased by his wife Violet Jane Henderson and parents, Aubrey and Betty Henderson.  His survivors include his son Robert P. Henderson (Mary Jane); sister, Nancy Foster; grandchildren, Andrew P. Henderson (Jena) and Leah J. Henderson and great grandson, River J. P. Henderson and a host of other family members.  The family will receive friends 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Friday, September 2, 2016 with a Funeral Service to follow at  12 :30 p.m. both at Charter Funeral Home.  A Committal Service with Honors will be at the Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, AL.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Page’s name  to First Baptist Church of Alabaster/Needy Family Ministry or  Samaritan’s Purse , (https://www.samaritanspurse.org ).  Charter Funeral Home directing.
