Jeannine Girard Boggs, age 84, of Birmingham Alabama died on Saturday, February 21st, 2026.  She was born in Savannah, Georgia on December 7th, 1941, and attended Savannah schools.  She graduated from Armstrong Junior College in Savannah. On November 25th, 1961, she married Robert “Bobby” E. Boggs, Sr. and they both moved from Savannah to work in New York City, where he was a mechanical engineer for Continental Can Company.  Over the next several years, they moved to Baltimore, Maryland and then settled in Charleston, South Carolina where they raised their three children.  She also continued her education and graduated Summa Cum Laude from the College of Charleston with a degree in Early Childhood Development and began to teach kindergarten. 

 In 1987, she moved to Birmingham, Alabama where she taught preschool.  As a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, she enjoyed her Sunday School class, made many friends, and was active in outreach missions.  She is survived by her
three children, Robert Boggs, Jr., Randall Boggs (Kim), and Robin Boggs Abel, and her five grandchildren, William “Billy” Boggs, Kira Boggs, Will Abel, Eddie Abel, and Rosemary Abel, and her loving dog, Baby.

Memorial Services for Jeannine will be held on April 18th, 2026, at the chapel at Trinity United Methodist Church in Homewood Alabama.  Visitation with her family will be at 10:00am, followed by service at 11:00am.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to ACG Hospice Care or Trinity United Methodist Church.
