James Michael Fondren

James Michael Fondren, age 50, of Maylene, AL, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 21, 2016. Mike proudly served his country in the U. S. Army. He loved to joke and Alabama Foot ball but mostly he was a loving husband, father and grandfather, described as a good ‘ol country boy with a heart of gold.   His survivors include his wife of 25 years,  Carolyn L. Rubino;  daughters, Ryan Rubino (Scott Thomasino, Jr.),Miranda Fondren  and Bailey Long; sister, Toney Fondren; brothers, Monty Fondren (Michelle), Casey Fondren (Joanne) and Brian Fondren; grandchildren, Brayden Rubino and “Peanut” due in November and a host of other family members and friends.  The family will receive friends 10:45 a.m. – 11: a.m., Monday, June 27, 2016 with a Funeral Service to follow at 11: a.m.  A Committal Service will be held at the Alabama National Cemetery.
