Stephen William Moss
March 9, 1954 – September 23, 2023
Steve Moss was an amazing man with many talents. He was told by his father that he could achieve anything, and he lived by that statement. He was confident, brilliant and constantly striving to improve his mind to help himself and others achieve greatness. His greatest talent was the ability to guide and teach others. Even though he came across as a giant of a man with a strong personality, his alternate side was quiet, tender and loving. Aviation, automobiles, travel and IT were his passions! Among his close friends were Joe (brother from another mother) and wife Beth Burroughs who were privileged to be in his inner circle along with Brian Tarbell, longtime friend, confidant and mentor. The world lost a great human being, but heaven gained a caring and gentle soul. Steve is preceded in death by his father, Dr. Dale Moss and sister, Diane Moss Eddy. He is survived by his fiancé, Bobbie Mattis; mother, Mrs. Nina C. Moss; sisters, Carol Moss Frashure, Lisa Moss Beres (William) and Leslea Canterbury (Greg); and brother, Kenneth Moss.
Though it was many years ago, I remember only happy memories of my cousin Steve. He always was smiling and made me feel welcome in the family circle. Fond memories at my grandparents home in Clay county WV during the special times we were able to be there together. Playing a game of croquet was always on the agenda. So sorry to hear of his passing soul. Love to his family. Julia
I am so sorry to say that I never had the privilege to meet Steve. I have truly loved every Moss family member I have met and I am sure that I would have loved him too.
I want your family to know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Patricia Cavanaugh
