Bruce Wildman Putley

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bruce Wildman Putley on Friday, June 12, 2026, at the age of 72, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, who left us too soon. Bruce was a kind man known for his warmth and unwavering devotion to his family. He is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy; his father, Bernard; his brothers, Bernard and Ian; and his loving wife, Sheila.
Bruce is survived by his three sons, Callum, Fraser, and Joey; his stepson Wayne, and his brother and fellow sailor Pete, who carry on his legacy of love. He was also a proud grandfather to Liam, Damian, Lily, Hyland, Leighton, and Collins, who brought him joy. Additionally, he is survived by his ex-wife and best friend, Susan, who stood by him throughout his life.
In the 1970s, Bruce’s adventurous spirit led him to become a sailor with the British Royal Navy, where he proudly served on the Ark Royal. The sea was a passion for him, and he also had a love for motorcycles, enjoying the thrill of the open road.
Above all, Bruce was a dedicated family man. He worked hard to provide for his loved ones and always aimed to give them the best life possible. His selflessness and capacity for love made him a truly genuine person.
As we say goodbye to Bruce, we celebrate a life well-lived and a spirit that will remain in our hearts. He taught us the true meaning of love and family. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to inspire us all.
Rest in peace, Bruce. Your love will always guide us.
Service for Bruce will be held Sunday, June 21, 2026, with a gathering at 1:00 p.m. and a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m.
