James “Jimmy” Clenton Davis

James “Jimmy” Clenton Davis, age 78, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 7, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on September 1, 1947 to his parents, Amy Jean and James “Matt” Davis both have preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Jillian Anne Davis; sisters, Eunice Welch and Gussie Cobb.

He was a veteran of the US Army and was a proud business owner of C J’s Windshield and Tire.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Martha Davis; son, Clent Davis (Ashley); brothers, Jerry Davis, Mickey Davis (Teresa); sister, Judy Green; and granddaughter, Jillian Kayt Davis.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026 starting at 10:30 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church followed by his service at 12:30 p.m. Jimmy will be laid to rest at the Alabama National Cemetery of Montevallo, AL. Reverend Allen Foster will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local Chilton or Shelby County Humane Society.

    He gave me hell Lol. But I so look forward to seeing him riding around on his side-by- side at the yearly dove shoots. Jimmy’s friendly sarcasm and playful insults at me were pure art. I always bought him some hot sauce. He was 1 of 1. Definitely will miss seeing and talking to him. Prayers for all the family.

    Condolences on this sad news. Jimmy is a great man who would do anything for you. I always had Jimmy do my tires, I so miss those days.
