James “Carey/Caro” Martin, age 68, of Calera, AL passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020 in Alabaster, AL. He is survived by his loving wife, Sally Martin; sons, Eric Martin (Kayla) and Christopher Martin (April); step-sons, Scott Cleveland (Bethany) and Derek Cleveland (Courtney); grandchildren, Abbie Martin, Chandler Martin, Tyler Martin, Marissa Martin, Noah Martin, Bella Cleveland, Finn Cleveland, Amelia Cleveland, and Maeve Cleveland; sister, Carol Culberson (Ron); and brother, Bob Tyson (Kathy). Carey is preceded in death by his parents James and Betty Martin. There will be a graveside service in Forest Hill Cemetery in Birmingham Friday, November 13, 2020 at 1 p.m. Rev.     I was suppose to spend the rest of my life with you, and then I realized….you spent the rest of your life with me.
    I smile because you loved me til the day you went away, and will keep loving me….til the day we are together again.

    Carey will be missed by many. He was a great friend to Fred during their days at 66th Street Baptist Church an Woodlawn High School. Prayers for the family.
