Danny Lee Franklin

Danny Lee Franklin of Centreville, AL, passed away in the comfort of his own home on Friday, May 15, 2026, at the age of 75. He was born on August 2, 1950 to his parents, Jack and Kathleen Franklin, both have preceded him in death. Danny is also preceded by his parents-in-law, Willie Claude Baker and Frances Baker Scott.

Danny was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Reserves, where he served at Camp Lejeune. He was a hard core Alabama Football fan and loved to kick back and relax with his family; most of the time with a good cigar. Danny was a hard worker until a month before his death. He was a man of few words, but had a good heart.  Danny was a loving husband, father, grandfather.

He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Jo Baker Franklin; children, Melissa Jackson (Randy), Brandon Franklin (Lisa), and Danielle Elam (Jason); grandchildren, Jeb Jackson (Rebecca), Nicole Franklin, Claudia Mychael, Cody Franklin, Drew Franklin, Cloe Lee (Matthew Roddy); “dog daughter”, Birdie; siblings, Michael Franklin (Dorene), Marie Elam, Kathy Watkins (Duval), Allen Franklin (Cathy); sister-in-law, Marie Cash (Steve).

Danny was also looking forward to the arrival of his first great grandchild, Henry Lee Jackson.
