Albert “Sam” Daniel Hester

Albert “Sam” Daniel Hester, age 64, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 17, 2026, on his birthday. Sam lived a life filled with love for his family, the outdoors, and the simple joys that brought people together.
He is preceded in death by the love of his life and wife for many years Alice Hester; parents, Walter and Wilma Hester and step mother, Myrtle Hester; step sisters, Judy Cupp Cox, Cathy Cupp Hadaway, and Carloyn Cupp.
He leaves behind his loving daughter, Magan Lutz and husband Bubba; his two granddaughters, Natalie and Olivia Lutz, who were truly the light of his life; brother, Terry Hester (Melinda); sister, Susie Spain (Jeff); step sister, Bonnie Thomas (David); sister-in-law, Linda Wallace (Johnny); along with several nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory for years to come.
Sam loved spending time with his family, especially traveling with his daughter, son in law and granddaughters, and joining in on whatever adventures they could talk him into. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, fishing, being outdoors, and spending afternoons riding with his dog Nick on the side-by-side. His quiet strength, sense of humor, and love for those around him will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in the memories he gave us and the love he shared so freely. Sam’s legacy will live on through his family and all the lives he touched.
