Billy Roper

Billy Roper, age 82, went to his Heavenly Home on Monday, April 27, 2026. He was at peace in the comfort of his own home in Maylene, AL surrounded by his loved ones. Billy was a jack of many trades; he owned a construction company for home remolding for over 30 years and always “had an eye for detail”, he was a professional wrestler, a pharmacy delivery supervisor, and a truck driver. Billy was also an ordained minister and was a member at Burning Bush Church in Jemison, AL

He enjoyed watching wrestling and football. He loved to be outside whether it was for work, or vacationing in the mountains, or at the beach. Billy was always a people person and was seen as a “Comedian and natural “Agitator”; he was a patient man and enjoyed being around kids. Above all he loved to spend the majority of his time at home with his loving wife.

Billy is survived by his loving wife, Sheila Roper; children, Lisa Crow (Jim) and Chris Roper (Selena); grandchildren, Max Brewer, Jayden Rose Brewer, Stephanie Putnam, Nicholas Crow, Reese Roper, Chelsea Roper, Aaron Roper, and Jase Roper; 11 great grandchildren; nieces, Misty Martin and Tiffany Shanks; and brother, Rickey Roper (Ellen) He is preceded in death by his parents, Hosey and Helen Roper; daughter, Lorey Duncan; and siblings, Charles Roper, Willy Roper and Betty Hedgepath.
