Burton Keith Jordan “Burt”

Burton Keith Jordan, age 84, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025. He was born on March 28, 1940, in New Smyrna Beach, FL to Lennon Guy Jordan and Jewell (Larkin) Jordan, both have preceded him in death. Burt was a Captain in the United States Army. He graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in building and construction. He was an avid sports fan especially when his Gators were playing. Burt was involved in the National Cemetery for many years including the development and construction of the Scenic Overlook at Alabama’s National Cemetery.

His wife, Brenda Gay Jordan preceded him in death in 2014. Burt is survived by his daughters, Michelle Rene Jordan and Heather Jordan Harrison (Billy); and grandchildren, Jordan Harrison and Mason Harrison.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Charter Funeral Home. A Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. Burt will be laid to rest with honors in the Alabama National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.
