Jose Guadalupe Perez
Born in Albertville, Alabama – 2007-2025.
It is with deep sorrow and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Jose Guadalupe Perez, a beloved son, brother, and friend. Jose passed away unexpectedly, leaving a void that can never be filled, but also a memory that will forever be cherished.
Jose was a senior at Calera High School, full of dreams and potential. He was a bright, intelligent young man who loved playing video games, soccer, listening to music, and playing chess. He found joy in the simple things—especially spending time with his brothers and sister, who meant the world to him.
He is survived by his loving parents, IIsy Martin and Carlos Maldonado; his siblings Uziel, Brian, and Mariana; and many family members and friends who will miss his kind spirit and gentle soul.
A memorial service will be held to honor Jose’s life on Tuesday, June 24th at 5:00 PM, at Charter Funeral Home, 2521 US Highway 31, Calera, Alabama 35040. In honor of Jose’s favorite color, the family kindly asks that attendees wear something purple as a tribute to his life and the light he brought to ours.
