Ricky Dale Tidmore

Ricky Dale Tidmore, age 67, of Alabaster, passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, March 23, 2020.  Mr. Tidmore is preceded in death by his parents, Braxton and Eunice Tidmore and sister, Sandra Scoggins Sullivan.  He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Judy Baker Tidmore; daughters Tracy Tidmore Thomas (Barry), Robin Tidmore Ellis (Jake); son, Jeff Tidmore (Jill); 5 granddaughters; 1 grandson; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Joe Tidmore, Sr. (Brenda), Charles Tidmore (Joyce); and many nieces and nephews.

Ricky was a Thompson High School graduate, class of 1972.  He was manager at Alabaster Auto Service.  He spent all his adult life in the automotive industry in Shelby County.  He was a Mason, a dedicated member of the Pelham Church of God, where he served on the council.  Through the church, he started Open Arms Ministry to help meet the needs of the homeless and families around the community.  He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

A graveside service will be held at Elliottsville Cemetery on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.  Brothers Melvin Massey and Jason Hallcox officiating.  Charter Funeral Home entrusted.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

    Ricky was a great man and friend of my and my late husband Carl Glass we always went to him with our cars to get service ,we have share so many great time and laughter with him he had a smile alway and a very jolly man my thoughts and prayers are with his family, sorry for your loss, R.I.P.
