Mildred “Mimi” L. Orr

Mildred “Mimi” L. Orr, age 100, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026, in the comfort of her own home. She was caring, family focused, spiritual, curious, adventurous and laughed often. Mildred enjoyed bird watching, horses, cooking, reading, traveling and taking care of animals.

She is preceded in death by her loving husbands, Arthur P. Bolton Jr. and Milton Orr; son, Arthur P. Bolton III (Cathy J.H. Bolton); parents, Donnell L. Ligon and Cecile Eleanor Vaughn; and sisters, Harriett L. Weaver (Tom Weaver) and Kathleen L. Terrell (Robert).

Mildred is survived by her granddaughter, Sarah Katherine “Katie” Bolton (Matt Grzywacz).

A service will be held Wednesday, February 11,2026 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in the Student Center and Chapel. Liturgy of the Word and Communion will be held at 10 a.m. (1027 Moody Street, Montevallo, AL.)
