Doris M. Acker

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and faithful friend, Doris M. Acker, 92, of McCalla, Al entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 30, 2025, with her loving family by her side. Born December 20, 1932, Montevallo AL, to Zeke Lemley and Tora Lemley.  She lived a life dedicated to her family and her unwavering faith in God.

Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Acker and sons, Gary Acker, Danny Acker and James Daniel Acker. She is survived by children; Regina Smith (Scott), Keith Acker (Wendy), Chris Acker (Lisa), Darryl Acker (Charlotte); daughter-in-law, Loretta; 28 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and 8 great great grandchildren.

Throughout her life, she found strength and peace in the words of Psalms 91:1. She sang to all of her babies and grandbabies while rocking them. She will be missed.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 in Salem Cemetery in Montevallo, AL. at 2:00 p.m. Brother Butler will be officiating. A special thanks to daughter-in-law, Lisa, granddaughters, Leanna and Kosie and Enhabit Hospice.
