Tommy Lee McGuffie

img95325111 Tommy Lee McGuffie, age 43, of Alabaster, AL, passed Saturday afternoon in Wilsonville AL.  He is survived by his wife, Adrian Oliver McGuffie; sisters, Rhonda McGuffie Wood (Trey) and Teresa McGuffie; nieces and nephews, Jacob Matthew, Nicolas, Shelby and Katelyn and a many friends and loved ones.  He was such a big hearted guy, would give you the shirt off his back for anyone kinda guy.  His love for skydiving was  joy to see and to experience. His excitement for the sport was contagious, even though some he tried to talk into trying it out said “NO WAY!”.  His next big adventure was going to be base jumping, haha.   He could make you laugh, mad, and then laugh again all in one conversation.  Tommy wanted to make sure his wife was taken care of, they were best friends.  A Celebration of Life will be 1 pm, Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Church of the Highlands, Riverchase Campus, 9013 Helena Road, Pelham, AL 35124.  Charter Funeral Home.

    Man where do I begin?
Tommy was one of a kind and a great friend, who will be missed by so many. Anyone who knew Tommy, knew a truthful, tell you like it is friend, a friend who you could call in the middle of the night and he would help you out no matter. He had strong opinions and when he got into something to occupy his free time with, dang did he get into it. He’d study it and tell you all there was to know about it and sometimes talk you into doing it with him. Lol I’ve known Tommy for as long as I can Remember. He didn’t have the best childhood and pretty much came from less than nothing. You know when I tell people about my childhood growing up I always said somebody had it rougher. I watched him transform his life and with his wonderful wife Adrian by his side, I watched him become more than he ever thought he could. He was a great friend and a great man. He was funny and honest to a fault. Lol. He was generous and if you said you liked something he had, chances are he would give it to you. I once seen him give away a truck to my neighbor. Just handed him the keys and said it’s yours. That’s the kinda man Tommy was. I would say Tommy dong do that, and he would say “Shane it’s just a truck, means more to him than me, it’s just a material object”. I could understand at the time, but you know now, well I get it Tommy. It took my walk with faith to get it. He spent a lot of time at my house, there wasn’t a day that went by that I didn’t see him when I lived in Helena. As the years passed and life happened he would call me from time to time and vice-versa. We would pick up right we’re we left off like we hadn’t missed a beat, he always had some adventures story to tell or talk about what’s going on with everyone else. He would stop what he was doing to come help you if you needed it. Wish you would have called one of us brother when you needed it! Wish i would have called you!! Tommy I always considered you a brother and you will always be my brother. I love you Tommy. We all love and miss you so freaking much.
From adventures in Motocross, ATV’s, Big Trucks, street bikes, hiking, repelling, kites on the beach, lol, cage fighting, running, hunting, fishing, kayaking and all things in between till your new found love of skydiving. Which when last we talked that’s all you talked about with so much excitement. Lol. Had me wanting to do it with you. You lived life brother but just got cut to soon. I love you and will always feel you in my heart. Thank you for so many memories my old friend. You are gone but by no way will you be forgotten.
    Love you man.
