Bruce Wayne Barbee

Bruce Wayne Barbee, age 68 of Alabaster, passed away unexpectedly on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024. Bruce was born on February 13, 1956 to his mother, Catherine Barbee.  Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Judy Thomason; sons, Jason (Danielle), William (Melissa), and Ben (Celeste); and granddaughters, Allie, Lauren, and Kaia; and mother, Catherine Barbee.

Bruce loved camping, kayaking, scuba diving, going to shop at antique malls, but most of all he loved spending time with his granddaughters. He would spend hours in the pool with them, he loved going to watch their soccer games. He loved the nicknames his granddaughters gave him Pawpaw and Big Sissy. Bruce was also extremely proud of his sons, Jason who was in the Army and is now an Optometrist; William who was in the Navy and is now an Electrician, and Ben that is still in the Air Force as an F16 mechanic. He was in the trucking industry for over 40 years.

Bruce is going to be greatly missed by his family and friends!

There will be a Celebration of Life for Bruce on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Charter Funeral Home.
