Daniel “Danny” Acker

Daniel “Danny” Acker, age 65 passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 11, 2024, in the comfort of his own home. He was born in Jefferson County, AL on April 25, 1958, to his parents, Daniel and Doris Acker; Danny is preceded in death by his father, Daniel Acker and brothers, Gary Acker and Daniel Acker. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Loretta Acker; daughter, Jennifer Blankenship; sons, Josh Acker and Adam Acker; mother, Doris Acker; sister, Regina Smith; brothers Keith Acker, Darryl Acker and Chris Acker; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Danny will be laid to rest in Cahaba Valley Baptist Cemetery.

    Loretta, I am so, so sorry about Danny. Know I’m praying for you and your family. PS 34:18 tells us “God is close to the broken hearted and saves those crushed in spirit.” I’m praying He gives you peace & comfort as only He can. I love you all.
