Robert Lewis Sanders Jr.

Robert Lewis Sanders, Jr., age 81, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in New Eagle, Pennsylvania on September 17, 1942, to his parents, Robert Louis and Edna Louise Sanders, both of whom preceded him in passing. Robert is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Denton Sanders; daughters, Victoria Sanders High (Jay), and Margaret Ann Garrett (Mark); grandson, David Robert Garrett; brother, Harry Sanders (Shirley); sister, Patricia Sanders.

Robert earned his accounting degree from the University of West Florida and retired from the Bank of America. He was a Lt. in the US Navy and served during the Vietnam Era. Later on, he became a self-employed financial advisor and CPA. Robert was a member of Kingwood Church and worked with the Kiwanis Club. He loved to serve God though teaching in small groups, administration and singing in the choir. Robert was a dedicated husband and father.

Robert will be laid to rest with honors in the Alabama National Cemetery on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 1:15 p.m. Hospice Chaplain John Mitchell will be officiating.
