Thomas Addison Binford Jr.
Thomas Addison Binford, Jr. of Birmingham, AL passed away on April 1st, 2025 at the age of 76.
Tom was born in Birmingham on April 14th, 1948 to the late Thomas Addison Binford and Betty June Binford. He graduated from West End High School, served in the Army Reserves and became a Fireman in 1970 with Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service. He was among the pioneering graduates of the EMS Fire Medic Program in 1976 and became Captain in 1985. He spent 34 consecutive years with BFRS.
Tom had a love for BMW motorcycles, dirt bike racing, Auburn football & basketball, fishing & camping… but most of all time with his family.
Tom is survived by his children, Thomas Scott Binford (Miel), Tarah Binford Lind (Jonathan) and Rebecca Binford Knight (Casey). He leaves behind 9 grandchildren: Taylor, Crew, Cove, Addison, Ella, Jillian, Avery Kate, Carter & Hannah.
Services will be held on Monday, April 14th, with a visitation at 10:30 am followed by a service at 11 am, at the Church of The Highlands-Riverchase Campus (9013 Helena Road Pelham, AL 35124)
