Teri Lynn (Miles) Goodin passed away peacefully on Oct. 31, 2023 at her home in Montevallo, Al. at the age of 70.
Teri was born on January 11, 1953 to Mack and Betty Miles, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, Barry (Heather) Goodin, Kristi (Stephen) Carter and Bub Goodin; her grandchildren, Tyler (Heather), Emily, Callyn, Justin, Austin and Destiny; her great grandchildren, Brantley, Kason Mack and Charlotte Marie (on the way); her brother, Mackey (Teresa) Miles and sister, Ricki Fowler; Aunt, Delene “Tot” DeMent; her lifelong “sisters”, Linda Edwards Darden and Brenda Edwards Sisco; bonus kids, Amy Jo Hendrickson, Adam Byrd, Waylon Dunn and Jeff Cinnamon; and close cousin, Crit DeMent.
Teri was truly one of a kind; she was hilarious, witty and very outspoken. She was also caring, giving and opened her heart and home to everyone. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge she was given with courage and grace as a 15-year breast cancer survivor.
She was a mom who was always there for her children. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy and being their “Ganny” was the most important part of her life. She was a second mom to many over the years but Ganny to many more. She will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
Teri requested no services be held and there will be a celebration of life at a later date. Please consider a donation in her name to the Pea Ridge Fire Department, P.O. Box 177, Montevallo, Al. 35115 or your local food bank.
Special thanks to Dr. Gary Howard, Wesley Lash, Pea Ridge Fire Dept., Montevallo Fire Dept. and Southeast Shelby Rescue.
