Vickey Perry Ingram

Vickey (Perry) Ingram, 71, of Calera entered into the presence of the Lord Friday, April 17th, 2026. She was survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Harry Ingram; daughter, Jennifer Moya (William); and brothers Randall Perry (Brenda), and Loiel Perry (Faye). She was reunited in heaven with her son, Steven Ingram; parents, Herbert and Lillian Perry; brothers, Bobby Perry (Cheryl), Donald Perry (Inos), Gerald Perry (Netti), Ivan Perry (Etta), and Ronald Perry (Carliene); sisters Ora Jean Jones (Ted), and June Marlene Horton (Melvin).
Vickey was born in Scottville, Al. She was the youngest of ten children. She met Harry 54 years ago. After marriage, they moved to Maylene to start a family. Vickey worked and was a homemaker. She was a member of The Branch of Mission Hill. Vickey loved her church and was a devoted follower of Christ. She loved Alabama football, found a special joy and laughter in life. She also ran late to almost everything, but when the Lord called her home she left us way too early.
Our hearts are broken right now, but only because we miss her so much. A selfish grief with the knowledge that pain, suffering, tears, and death are things of this world. Vickey is in the glory of Heaven; and comfort and glory of our Savior.
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. Revelation 21:4
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at The Branch of Mission Hills. A visitation will be held at 10 am followed by a service at 11 am. Vickey will be laid to rest beside her son, Steven, in Dargin Cemetery. Pastor Brook Lovett will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Branch of Mission Hill’s building fund in Vickey’s name. A special thanks to the Shelby Baptist CICU nursing staff who went above and beyond to take care of Vickey and the family. Services entrusted to Charter Funeral Home.
