Wanda Gayle Stephens Farris
Wanda “Gayle” Stephens Farris, age 79, passed from this Earth and entered her Heavenly home on September 7, 2026. She was born on September 8, 1946 in St. Clair County and has been a resident of Calera, AL for fifty-five years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Farris and her parents, Stonewall (Pete) Stephens and Ella Louise Stephens.
She is survived by her daughter, Melynda Farris Keller (Teddy Keller); Son, Allen Farris; Grandson, T.J. Keller (Gabriella); Great-Granddaughter, Allora; Brother, Danny Stephens (Sharon); Sister, Angie Dorsett, and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held on Sunday, September 13th at Hope Mountain Church in Calera, AL. Visitation for family members only will start at 1:30 p.m. All others are welcome at 2:00 p.m., with a funeral following at 3:00 p.m. Gayle will be laid to rest with a private family graveside service in Shelby Memory Gardens on Monday, September 14th, 2026 in at 9 a.m. Dr Deric Thomas will be officiating the ceremony. In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Hope Mountain Church.
