Joseph Michael Rivers “Joey”
Joseph Michael Rivers “Joey” of Saginaw, Al, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 47, on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. He graduated from Calera High School in 1997 and later joined the US Navy where he was stationed in the Great Lakes in Illinois. Joey worked for the Allpro Distribution Center, Professional Paint and Body, and the City of Pelham. He was a huge gun enthusiast; enjoyed fishing and spending time with his dog.
Joey is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lottie Melton, Donald Melton, George White, Polk Rivers, and Ethel Rivers; aunt, Donna Goggins; uncles Billy Melton and Bryan Melton.
He is survived by his parents, Susan White (Steve) and Mike Rivers; siblings, Nick White (Molly), Amber Robertson (Brody), Brandy Harris (Mike) and Ashley Freeman; “His Girls”, Madison Ray (Jordan) and Maci Porter (Jackson); grandmother, Daisy White; his fur baby, Whiskey; Joey is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Marlee Boyd, Luke White, Tucker Boyd, Jack White, Willow Robertson, Beau Robertson; cousins, Jason Melton, Leanne Richardson, Jenny Pennington, Jake Reynolds, Tyler Melton and many more cousins, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, here at Charter Funeral Home. A Visitation will be held at 12 noon followed by a service at 1 pm. Joey will be laid to rest in Salem Cemetery, in Calera, Al.
