Jessie “Tick” Dotson, Jr.

Jessie “Tick” Dotson, Jr., age 59, of Clanton, Alabama, went to Heaven, Thursday, February 25, 2016. Tick was an underground Coal Miner for 36 years; he loved to garden and fish.  He was predeceased by son, Rocky Davis, Sr. and grandparents, Sassie and Donald Dotson and George and Madgline Duty. His survivors include his wife of 7 years, Maggi Carter Dotson; daughter, April Dawn Dotson; sons, Gary Pope, Jr. (Brittany) and Jessie Dotson III; step-daughter, Brittany Davis (Tramayne); step-son, Sean Moffett; mother, Betty Dotson; father, Jessie Dotson, Sr. (Shelva Jean); sisters, Cindy Curry, Beverly Cisco (David) and Pamela Turner; brothers, Virgil Dotson (Kathy) and George Dotson; grandchildren, Rocky Davis, Jr., Keri, Gary III, Brayden, Emalee Pope and Madison, Morgan and Chase Dotson, Alex Saylors and Ariel and Alexzandria Davis; his dogs, Ellie Bell and Harley  and a host of other family members.  A Memorial Service will be 2 p.m., Sunday, February 28, 2016 at the pond by his home.    The family wants to send out a special Thank-you to their Southern Care Hospice Nurse, Tina and the Chaplin from Southern Care Hospice, Robert.
