James Matthew Smitherman
July 17,1983- July 3, 2025
James Matthew Smitherman, age 41, went home to be with the Lord on July 3rd, 2025. James also known as, “Matt and/or Smitty” will always remain in our heart and memories because of his love for the Lord and others. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing video games, cooking, and music
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Douglas Smitherman and Carolyn Cox Smitherman; Grandparents, Albert and Fannie Mae Cox; Grandparents, Houston and Martha Smitherman.
He is survived by his wife, Tiffany Smitherman of Maylene, AL; sister, Ryan Hill; and Niece, Charlotte Rowe. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that have become family.
A visitation will be held Saturday, July 26th at 10:00 am. The memorial service will follow at 11:00 am at Cornerstone Church in Helena, AL officiated by Bro. Tim Trimble.
