James “Huey” Walker
James “Huey” Walker, age 95, passed away in the comfort of his own home on Saturday, December 6, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. Huey and Betty were married for almost 72 years, was a longtime member of Wilton Baptist Church, and was a proud Navy Veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Wille Walker, and brothers, Elbert Walker, Gene Walker, and Kenneth Wayne Walker.
Huey is survived by his loving wife, Betty Walker; daughters, Sharron and Julie; son, Tim Walker; grandchildren, Mathew Graham Golden (Brittany), Alicia Golden Chafin (Ray), Ashlie Ferguson , Erin Campbell , Hannah Hall; great grandchildren, Kaden Golden, Baxton Golden, Ryder Golden, Alexis and Dallas Harris, Grace Ferguson, Luna, Aurora, Calin, Zenovia, Serenity; and sister, Barbara Walker West.
Services for Huey will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Wilton Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation an hour prior to the service. Huey will be laid to rest at the Alabama National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. Pastor Steve Johnson and Pastor David Littleton will be officiating.
He was my favorite Uncle . I have many fond memories of him. He was quite a guy that everyone loved. He will be greatly missed.
Mickey, Charles and I send our deepest heartfelt sympathy to Betty, Tim, Sharon and Julie. Our prayers for comfort and strength as you all go through the days ahead. Our hearts break along with your hearts. We loved Huey so much and we will forever miss him. God Bless this family.
Huey was one of my most favorite people at Wilton! He always had a smile for me and I loved his picking at Betty! Prayers for Betty and the family!
