Melissa Ann Hall “Missy”

Melissa Ann Hall “Missy” of Columbiana, AL born on April 7, 1967 passed away Sunday, April 5, 2026 at the age of 58.

Melissa was the kind of person who made everyone feel at home. She was nurturing, inviting, and deeply loving. A light in the lives of those who knew her. Whether you were family or a friend, being around her meant feeling cared for, welcomed, and seen.

She found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved getting her nails done, especially when it meant sitting with her oldest daughter, Shanae, sharing that special time together. She could often be found relaxing with her favorite shows, from Friends and The Big Bang Theory to anything on HGTV. These quiet moments brought her comfort and happiness.

Above all, Melissa was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a true fighter. She carried strength in ways that inspired those around her, and she loved her family with her whole heart.

She is proceeded in death by her father, Martin Sims.

She is survived by her husband, Greg Hall; children, Douglas (Cassie) Sims, Shanae (Raven) Hall, and Makayla (Ian) Taylor; 6 wonderful grandchildren; Aubri Sims, Dalton Sims, Braxton Sims, Heavenly Sims, Beaux Sims and Emrynn Grace Taylor; mother, Carol Sims and brother, Jim (Angela) Sims.

Melissa was more than just family; she was a best friend, a source of comfort, and a constant presence of love. Her absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but her love will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

A celebration of life will be held at Wilsonville United Methodist Church (111 School St. Wilsonville, AL 35186) on Friday, April 10, 2026 with a service beginning at 2 p.m..
