Joshua “Josh” McGlothlin

Joshua “Mclovin” McGlothlin, age 18, of Centreville, Alabama tragically passed away November 8, 2025. He was born to Candace McGlothlin on February 21, 2007, in Bay Minette, Alabama. He was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle, and friend.
Josh’s unexpected passing will forever leave a void in the lives of those who loved him. He is survived by his mother Candace McGlothlin; sister, Madison McGlothlin; and brother-in-law, Sam Tucker; girlfriend, Kailin Simmons; grammy, Linda Homa; grandparents, Tim and Denise McGlothlin; aunts, Kendra and Tiffany McGlothlin; uncle, Ronnie McGlothlin; nephew, Houston Tucker; cousins, Blakely, Kolton, and Henry McGlothlin.
He is preceded in death by his pappap, William Homa; mawmaw, Eva McGlothlin; pawpaw, Henry McGlothlin; and uncle, Don McGlothlin.
As a recent graduate of class of 2025, Josh planned to pursue a career in welding. Joshie was known for his captivating smile that melted the heart of anyone he came in contact with. His unique personality and character made him unforgettable. Josh never met a stranger and was always there to lend a helping hand. He hated when people were mean or treated others poorly, often saying his heart was too big to live in this generation – he was correct.
He loved working on his truck, riding jet skis, hunting, fishing, and Alabama football. Joshie’s absolute favorite thing to do was spend time with Kailin, his closest friends, and Houston. No matter what they were doing, he was happiest spending time with those he loved. For those who loved him, there will forever be a void that no-one can replace.
Josh’s spirit and energy will live on in those who loved him. We are completely shattered at the loss of our Joshie and would give anything for one more moment with him. Never forget to tell your loved ones how much you love them. We cannot wait to see that smile and perfect hair one day, but until then we will survive in our many precious memories with our Josh.
Pallbearers are Blake Dailey, Stew Lawley, Lyndon Hood, Macain McMillan, Weston (Big Burn) Burnett, Corbin Payne, Gucci Morrow, and Jay Lagrone.
Josh’s life will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Pineview Baptist Church in Brent, AL with service immediately following at 1:00 p.m. Graveside services will follow in Pineland Memorial Park in Centreville, AL.
