Victor Coolidge Thomas, Jr.

Victor Coolidge Thomas Jr., age 81, of Alabaster, AL, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. Victor proudly served in the United Sates Air Force, demonstrating a strong sense of duty and patriotism. In the years after his service, he committed to helping and caring for family members.

He was a devoted husband, sharing 57 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Peggy Thomas. Victor also had a lifelong passion for dogs and found great comfort and companionship in their presence. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Thomas; his brother, Roger Dale Thomas (Jackie); and numerous nieces and nephews. Victor was preceded in death by his sister Martha Hicks.

Victor will be laid to rest with Airforce military honors at the Alabama National Cemetery on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, a committal service will be held at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Shelby County Humane Society or to the Parkinson’s Foundation, in Victor’s name. https://www.parkinson.org/?form=19983
