Shirley Faye Waggoner Smith

Shirley Faye Waggoner Smith, age 82, of Pelham, Alabama, went home to be with her savior on Sunday, April 6, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones at her home. She was born on May 19, 1942, to her loving parents, Edward and Katie McClain Waggoner.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents and many other relatives. She is survived by her loving son, Josh Smith; sisters, Joann Holsomback, Mary Ruth Holsomback, Mary Katherine Diliberto (Nat), and Julie Frances Lutz; 7-grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Shirley’s celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the Pelham Church of God starting at 1:30 p.m. with a brief gathering before her time of service. Rev. Michael Welborn will be officiating her service. Charter Funeral Home of Calera, Alabama handling her arrangements.
