Robert Vincent Wiser

Robert Vincent Wiser, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019.  He is predeceased by his parents, Dr. Henry and Madeleine Wiser.  Robert is survived by his loving wife, Norma Hastings Wiser of Calera, AL; sons, Vincent Joseph Wiser (Denyse) of Maylene, AL, Robert Hastings Wiser (Rebecca) of Port St. Joe, FL; daughters, Madeleine Wiser Mims (David) of Montevallo, AL, Elisabeth Wiser Epperson (Scott) of Maplesville, AL; granddaughters, Kara Wiser Ulmer (Hal) of Gulf Shores, AL, Kala Wiser Harding (Josh) of Maylene, AL, Karter Dianne DeMars (Josh) of Hoover, AL, Anna Caroline Wiser of Port St. Joe, FL, Kaylee Elisabeth Epperson of Maplesville, AL, Rebecca Grace Wiser of Port St. Joe, FL; grandsons, Wesley David Mims of Montevallo, AL, Trent Joseph Wiser of San Diego, CA, Joseph William Mims of Montevallo, AL, Arden Hastings Wiser of Port St. Joe, FL, Toby Wilson Epperson of Maplesville, AL; great granddaughter, Crimson Nicole Harding of Maylene, AL; sister Mary Wiser Martina (Steve) of Edgewater, FL; and a host of friends and family.  A memorial gathering will be held in the chapel of Charter Funeral Home on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will be in the Alabama National Cemetery at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to Wounded Warriors. www.charterfuneral.com

    Our heart felt prayers for comfort for the Bob Wiser family as they grieve the loss of a precious husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and many many friends. Bob was a very dear friend of ours for so many years. Dave and I were in Norma and Bob’s wedding while Bob and Dave were stationed in Pensacola Fla. We were blessed to live just across the street in Brunswick Georgia for 3 months before Dave and Bob were both transferred to San Diego, California. We’ve remained close friends since then and will miss our dear friend. How we wish we could be there with family today as they celebrate a life well lived.
