Louie Raymond Cates, age 73, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2019. We are all saddened by the loss of Louie Cates, who passed away on Saturday evening. Louie was a much-loved resident of Shelby Shores for many years, and had many friends in our community. He is survived by numerous family members and friends. A memorial service for Louie will be held at the Shelby Shores Community Center on Tuesday, July 30th from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., with Pastor Marvin Stalnaker officiating. Please join us in honoring Louie and his wife, Debby at this service. (A private graveside service for Louie’s family will be held at a later time.) Louie, my husband, and I were childhood friend in Helena, and teenage friends at Thompson High School. Kenneth thought the world of Louie. He was a joy to be around, and he will be missed. Kayren Owens
Louie was a special person always. Know him since early childhood. He would go out of his way to make you feel special to him,no matter where you would see him. He was truly a man of God. Was bluest to know him.
