Laurie Lynn White “Lolli”

Laurie Lynn White “Lolli,” 59, of Hoover, AL passed away peacefully at home Thursday, February 11, 2021. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2021. There will be a visitation from 4pm-5pm and a brief  memorial service to follow from 5 pm -6 pm in the sanctuary at Bluff Park United Methodist in Hoover, AL. The church has graciously agreed to live stream the service for those who can not attend in person. Laurie was born July 25, 1961 at Brookwood Hospital. She graduated from Berry High School in 1979, and was a graduate of Jacksonville State University in 1985, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene. Laurie was the mother of 3, and the grandmother of 4. Laurie’s love, smile, and spirit were contagious. Laurie’s heart was three sizes too big for her body and she was always such a joyful light. She was an absolutely great mother and an even better grandmother. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her, but we find there is peace knowing she is surrounded by loved ones and the Father Almighty. Laurie is preceded in death by her father, Lawrence “Larry” Pierce; She is survived by her mother, Joyce “Joy” Pierce; and her sister, Kelly Burton (Josh). She is also survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Gary White; children, Zachary White (Shelby); and their three children, Kayli Chafin (15), Joseph Bryant (13), Amelia Claire White (20mo), Andrew White (Emily), and her daughter Emily Harris (Ethan) and their daughter Saylor Mae Harris (1yr). In addition, she is survived by her loving aunts, uncles and cousins. If anyone wishes to donate flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Bluff Park United Methodist Church or monetary donations be made to Children’s of Alabama. We remember Laurie White by the love she shared with her family and friends. Laurie always said that being happy is a choice, and happiness is exactly what she chose.

I am so very sad to hear this news. Although I haven’t seen Laurie in several years, I know if we had run into each other, I would have been greeted by a big hug and a great, upbeat conversation. She was such a kind person, a fantastic mother and was always so proud of her children. She was a precious soul and a wonderful friend to all who were fortunate enough to know her. To Gary, Zac, Andrew, Emily, (their spouses), her four grandchildren, her mother, siblings, nieces, nephews, and to all those who’s lives she touched, words cannot express my sorrow for this most profound loss. My heart breaks for each of you. I’m unable attend her Celebration of Life tonight, but I wish I could be there to pay my humble respects to this wonderful woman and to the family that she loved so very much. My deepest sympathies and condolences are with you all during this most difficult time. I will be sending up prayers of comfort for the entire family,

Though I never had the pleasure to meet Laurie . I have heard so many wonderful things about her.
I knew she loved her family so very much and her grandchildren were the apple of her eyes.
My heart hurts for her family at this time.
I pray that God will comfort all of you and give you peace in the days ahead.
I know her love will always be with you.
